Feb 12 LOTF Symbolic

The most symbolic part I found was in the first sentence of passage number four. Golding said that, "Jack planned his new face." This means that Jack is not the same person that he was at the beginning of the book. Something that supports this is when Golding wrote, "He began to dance and his laughter became a bloodthirsty snarling." Jack was a jerk in the beginning of the story, but it only got worse. Later he turned into a dangerous, angry, tribe leader. The symbolic connection towards the theme is how much and how fast civilization fell in this book. Everyones lives were changed on that island.
